ParticipantHi,
I would like to import some more (nested) categories.
Unfortunately the Catagory Import Tool is not working by me.
I read the FAQ and TIPs and requirements dozen times.
I tried with Excel, with Google Docs, with Notepad, …
I tried it nested, and unnested. I tried even a fresh exportet csv to import – nothing.
The Upload Button changes colour for a short time and that’s it – no new categories.
I need help, thank you.02/22/2017 at 9:25 am #412514Steven Zahm

Can you please attach the CSV file you are trying to import? Rename the file from
.csvtotxtfirst so the support forum will allow it to be attached. Also, what are the exact steps are to doing to import the CSV files, what links and buttons being clicked and such?

ParticipantUnfortunately not.
It is the same experience with your file. Nothing happens. There is no error message – nothing.
I changed php-versions, I changed chmods – nothing.This is really frustrating.
I just hope, it will not happen with my data and the import-plugin later.02/22/2017 at 3:08 pm #412640Steven Zahm

If you can give me a temp admin login, I’ll take a look. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.

Hmmm… I logged in and imported the file just fine without issue (assuming the categories did not already exist as I did not check before the import). Are you certain you tried with my corrected file? I ask because it has happened many times where the incorrect file was being chosen for import — do it myself.
