ParticipantMost entries in database have a photo included, but none of them are showing in cMap. I recently had to reload Connections and the cMap template. Before that the photos showed but I don’t remember how I got that accomplished.

ParticipantI examined an old post from you late last year. You included the following instructions:
Go to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customize button for cMap.
This will load the Customizer on the left with a preview on the right.Click the back arrow in the Customizer, click the Image panel.
Change the image type to photo.
Click the back arrow, click the Tray Image panel.
Change the image type to none.
In the preview, click any entry’s name.
The preview will load that entries single entry profile detail view.
Change the image type to none (you should still be in the Tray Image panel).
Click the back arrow.
Click the Image panel.
Change the image type to photo.
Click Save and publish.
Done :)I have completed steps 1 to 4 this time, but the preview area on the right is blank. I then went to the page displayed by cMap and observed that all records are displayed, but there are no letter buttons or photos displayed. I have attached a screenshot.
Can you help?

The steps are correct. Double check to make sure that the Directory Home Page is set to the correct page. If it is, perhaps there is a conflict with another plugin, test for it. I’ve seen this happen when other plugins throw fatal javascript errors on the page. You can see these by loading the page in Chrome, hitting the F12 key and then clicking the Console tab. Did you see any error, if so, what are they. The best I can do from a screenshot is offer these guesses. If you grant me access to your site with a temp admin account, I can take a closer look. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.

ParticipantWonderful. I deactivated all other plug-ins and this one is working now. I would now like to have the directory open with no results showing. I also have a little problem with photo aspect ratios (pictures are stretched horizontally) I thought I had made a change to preserve the ratio, but maybe not.
When I get cMap like I want it I will then begin carefully adding needed plug-ins one at a time, making sure cMap still works OK.

GuestI can save us some time by letting you examine this. I will create a temporary ID for you. I will need to specify a user name, e-mail, and password for you. I did add back a much-needed plugin (Mailpoet) for others to use when we aren’t working on this.

If you are using page caching either with a plugin or server side, make sure to clear the page cache.

Sure I can take a look. Create and admin account with any username, email and password that you want. They do not matter since you’ll be deleting this account. Post the login details here as a private reply.

I logged in and followed the steps for the Template Customizer for cMap to display the photo and it worked as expected. Perhaps you did not click the Save and Publish button? Everything seems in order. Hope that helps!

ParticipantGreat. One other thing: I searched and found the statement
insert initial_results=’false’
to suppress display of the entire list. Where does that statement go? I am green on editing shortcodes. -
