GuestWe need to import about 1000 users.
After that we would like to import again every week.
Would existing users be updated? (like in Simple Directory)I know I could bulk remove all existing users and then import the users again, but that would require me to select all profile images again for each user. (this wouldnt be an issue if I could use an url to link to a profile image)
If it isn’t possible will this be possible in a ‘near’ future version?
Thanks in advance!Best regards,

Right now, this is not possible. I am considering adding this feature as it really would only take a few lines of code to accomplish. Of course the CSV would have to contain an ID column matching the ID of the entry in Connections.
The primary reason I have not is because there would be a rather large caveat. The address, phone, email, dates, link, social networks and IM data types would actually be wiped, not updated. The reason is there is not really an effective way to determine if it the new data is actually new or just an update because each entry can effectively have an unlimited number of each. Well, technically, this could be overcome, but that would require the CVS to contain the unique ID of each one of those data types for each field that data type supports.

I do have a version of the CSV Import that can update, leaving the images/logos unaffected, it just has the caveat I mentioned above.

I should mention it has only been casually tested.

Great, I couldn’t find your purchase of the CSV Import. Did you purchase it under another email address?

ParticipantHello,
Am I reading this correctly? When I upload a csv file I can only do it once or it will double entry everything. I will have to bulk remove all the entries each time so I don’t get double entries. I also can not include the images, so I might as well remove the logo option entirely because I’d have to hand place in over 500 logos each time I update the directory by a bulk CSV.
Oh my, I think I bought the wrong directory system and I’m about to go live with this site. This sucks, what can I do to get you to fix this problem. Maintaining large lists with a csv file seems pretty standard but it not recognizing already entered data just isn’t efficient. What’s the point of even having the option of images and logos if in a large directory you have to replace them each time you update the directory.
My client is so not organized, I’d be replacing all those images twice-10 times a week while they get their csv file in order.
Thanks
