When I first added the shortcode to my page, which used a full-width template, the “card” for each entry was the entire width of the page. I then added a left-floating div to the page so that I could create a sidebar of categories and surrounded the shortcode in a left-floating div. Now, the width of the cards doesn’t take up the full remaining width of the page and if I set to the surrounding div’s width to 100%, if then wraps below the “sidebar”. How can I make sure the “cards” always take up the full available width?
I suspect it has to do with how the CSS widths of the columns are configured. For example, the div you placed the shortcode within should not be set to 100%. You could set the width of the sidebar and set it to display as an inline block or float it. The same for the container div, but you would not set the width because you would want it to fill the remainder of the width.
Here’s a link to a basic CSS column tutorial.
The cards themselves will take up the full width of the container they are within.
Hope this helps!
