GuestHi
We purchased cMap back in 2013 to have a directory of all artists residing in our studio space and have been loving it ever since. However, when an artist moves out, we find ourselves “unpublishing” them.
Our ideal scenario is where we would be able to move them to another page listed “alumni of arts complex”.
I was wondering if there was any way to have our current directory running as normal, but when placed in a certain category (eg; moved out), the directory listing displays on Connections on a different page.
Alternatively, can we have cMap in 2 places with rules on one of the fields saying;
[connections only show category:'current artists']
[connections only show category:'past artists']TiA.

Yep, very easily achievable with Connections and cMap. You’ll need to use the category shortcode option and possibly the exclude_category shortcode option.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions.

GuestHi Steven
Many thanks. Two years on and your support is still top notch! We have successfully implemented both the “category_excluded” and “category” shortcodes for the current artists and past artists respectively.
