ParticipantHowdy!
We’re getting some strange URL’s produced that go to directory listings.
Google is showing the link below in search results for McFarland Family Dental Miles City. See attached screen shot.
http://milescitychamber.com/attractions/name/mcfarland-family-dental/This is the correct link for this directory listing:
http://milescitychamber.com/business-directory/name/mcfarland-family-dental/The issue is the folder /attractions/ showing in the URL for this listing – instead of /business-directory/
We don’t want Google finding these strange URL’s for the listings…………..How do I make that stop?
Thanks,Attachments:

The issue is that you put the directory on multiple pages. That’s fine, you can do that, but you need to exclude the other categories that exists on the other pages or disable the category drop down. After you do that, those other links will disappear slowing as Google crawls your site and updates its index.
Hope that helps.

ParticipantSo………. I added the following (which was already in my shortcode on the page), but it did end up removing the Search field and the Category dropdown…….
enable_search=’false’ enable_category_select=’false’
I hope this fixes it :)

I just took another look … that should work, but I have one other recommendation. On the pages which just show the featured entries, you should also add the home_id shortcode option. Set the ID to the page ID of the Directory page. That way when you click on the names in the featured entries, the links will resolve to the business directory page. This should be better as it would avoid the possibility of pages being marked as duplicate content.
