    For some reason SiteShot is not working for new entries added to our database. Its working on older entries but if we add any new entries it just displays a blank image. See screen shot attached. You can see the one blank one. We are using Griddler as our template. Everything is updated to the latest versions available. This has only been doing this since the last core update on the 14th/15th. Any idea what could be causing this?

    SiteShot uses a wordpress.com service for creating screenshots of websites, so I really do not have much control over the results.

    Can you share a few links you’ve added which are not being created. I’d like to see if the same occurs on my site. This would eliminate SiteShot and wp.com as the source of the trouble. So that would help narrow where to look next.

    Ok, the WP screenshot service does not seem to like that site. Accessing it directly returns a 404 error, as seen here:

    My best guess is that it is the YouTube videos that the WP.com screenshot service does not like.

    What I do, and suggest to you is set SiteShot as the fallback image, but upload no images. The template will use the screenshot as normal. But for difficult sites, you can manually upload a screenshot that you take from your computer.

    The shortcode would be like this:

    [connections image='photo' image_fallback='siteshot' image_single='photo' image_single_fallback='siteshot']

    I will have to push out a small update for Gridder so you can use the image_fallback option. I’ll get to it this week asap.
