Participant@Steven,
I just updated to v0.8.1, so far, so good… (WP v3.9)
I have noticed that there is now a search results info box after submitting a search that recaps the query, interesting…
A few questions:
– Is it possible to ‘hide’ this query results information?
– If so, how?
– What is the black box in the query box?
See attached screen capture: black-box-what.png
– Is there documentation online, listing the features and fixes found in v 0.8.1?
– If so, where?
Thanks,

Yes, the search query message box was the only way I could come up with that would satisfy the requests of making it easier for the end user to understand why they were seeing the results they were and provide a way to clear those results.
Yes, it is possible to turn it off and is easy to do. Go to the Connections : Settings admin page. Click the display tab. In the Result List section there is an option to disable it.
That black box… that is the Clear Search button. Pretty much does exactly the View All link you added does. Why is it black? I left the button unstyled, on purpose, for the theme to style. Unfortunately the theme styled the buttons back and links are also styled black, so it is black on black. Here’s how to fix it if you choose to keep it:
Login to your site with FTP.
Navigate to the../wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen/folder.
Within that folder create a new folder named:connections-templates
Create a new file named:cn-custom.css
Add the following to this file:#cn-clear-search-button a { color: #FFF; }Save the file.
Now the text should show as white.
No, there is not a feature list yet, just the changelog here. Most changes are “under the hood” are are very extensive. The changelog does not do it justice. One such under the hood change is the custom CSS loading that I just gave you instructions for. Here’s a link where I explain another under the hood change.
I’ll actually being firing up the blog section of this site again … keep an eye out there … there’s more coming …
Hope that helps!
