ParticipantHi There,
I have a few locations created. When a person is searched by name for example, it shows up only if i am in the location category where this person is located. It seems to not be able to pull up the person from a general search.
Example: I type “igor” without any category/location selected, it says no results but Igor does exists in a location
Is there something to do to activate that? I feel like the plguin should do that?
Thanks for your help.

I took a look at your directory page. I suspect that you shortcode includes the
categoryshortcode option. Is that correct? If so, when you search with a location, you are overriding thecategoryshortcode option with the selected location category ID. So search forigorwill only return a result whenigoris within the selected category. To haveigordisplay as a result without selecting a category which he has been assigned to you need to remove thecategoryshortcode option. There is second, more complex solution. See this tutorial on how to override the category shortcode option when doing a keyword search for the details.Hope this helps!

ParticipantHi Steven,
THis is my code:
[connections category=52 enable_category_select='TRUE' enable_search='TRUE' excerpt_length=20 show_profile_link='TRUE' enable_pagination='TRUE' pagination_position="after" page_limit=10 1='%last%"str_select="Select' 2='Location"' str_select_all="Show All Locations" str_work_email="Email" str_personal_email="Email" image_fallback="none"]
What should i remove to be able to search globally? Or do I have to set it in the settings?
Thanks for your help.
