ParticipantIs it possible to set Order_by {entry-slug}?
I have a list of organizations that I need to sort alphabetically, but some companies need have special sort, to effectively ignore the first word of organization and sort on the second. IE: “John Day Company” should fall under “D” instead of “J” – or “R.H. Wiles Co.” should sort by “Wiles” not “R.H.”
I’m thinking I can make it work by using entry-slug – it’s only a handful of companies and if I copy original and edit to make a new {entry-slug} [ie day-company or wiles-co], then I’d edit the organization name back to “John Day Co” or “R.H. Wiles” [see attached image and you’ll see Wiles shows up in R]
I’ve tried using order_by='{entry-slug}’ but it doesn’t seem to work.
Will my logic work, and if so, what is proper syntax. If I’m wrong, any suggestions? (I’ve been looking at the forums and saw “Custom Entry Order” so that may be what I need instead)
Connections has been great for our organization – just spoke with someone yesterday who was searching our online directory. When I told them I am sole employee, they said they were really impressed because our online directory functionality made them think we had a much larger staff – so thank you!

Keymaster@ Pat
Add those entries as individual instead of organization. Examples based on your examples:
- John Day Company == first name => John , last name => Day Company
- R.H. Wiles Co. == first name => R.H. , last name => Wiles Co.
When sorted by the default order they’ll fall in line where you want them to.
Hope that helps! Let me know.
