ParticipantI already have one Connections implementation for another client and it is working great. However, I am trying to assess if it would be fit for purpose for another client.
In their case, they need to be able to filter their entries by a number of different category groups, i.e. Industry, Roles, Capabilities and Availability, so that a filter result could be a combination of selections in all 4. Is this at all possible with Connections?

yes, this is possible but not out of the box. See sscit.org as an example. That was custom developed for them, but I can sell to you as is which includes installation and configuration for a reasonable fee.
It is the “Find A Therapist” search. The top three options are just category parents. It also includes a zipcode radius and keyword search fields. The zip code radius search feature can be disabled and the number of category parent drop downs are configurable. So you could have Industry, Roles, Capabilities and Availability drop downs. The way the category filters work is that an entry would have to assigned to each of the selected categories to be returned as a result. Hope that make sense.
Let me know if you are interested or not.

ParticipantHi Steven
That looks exactly like what is required for this project. We wouldn’t need the ZIP code feature as the new post code system here in Ireland is completely random and cannot be used for anything like it. And the place is small enough that people know distances anyway ;-). But the rest looks good. I am in the process of writing a proposal for this project, so it would be great if you could private message me your fee estimate.
Thanks!
