Will the CSV Import update existing members in the Connections plugin already?
Yes, export from Connections and update that CSV file. Be aware of one item. If you add two or more of one address type only one will be exported and when you update the one that was not exported will be removed. Example, adding two “Home” addresses to an entry, only one will export and the other will be deleted on update. It is fine to add one “Home” address and one “Work” address and one “School” address and so on. The same goes for the other repeatable fields in Connections such as phone, email, social media and so on.

We are getting the file from an external source on a regular basis. Exporting the Connections file and updating it will take too much time. If I select the “Entry ID” field, will the import update the Contact in connections that matches that field mapping’s value and add a contact for any imported row that does not have a matching value?
No, the ID needs to match the one the WP database assigns to the entry. Other users do what you want by purging the database and importing the file fresh for each update.
