    Steven: that’s the weird thing. I have not made any modifications to your code until now.

    That’s why I wanted to start with a fresh copy and latest version. I confirmed it’s not my code by doing this.

    I know it’s a hack but what could cause this? Where are you naturally assigning this variable?

    Maybe others that have this same issue will benefit..

    I believe the issue is the method that is being used to manually insert the connections_entry_id user meta in the DB (your code, I assume). I would examine how you are adding the entry ID value to the user meta.

    In regards to where self::$entryID is being set, it is in the setEntryID() method. It is imply using get_user_meta( get_current_user_id(), 'connections_entry_id', TRUE ); to get the meta value. The value must already have had the added characters added.

    I was setting it using mysql workbench using the spreadsheet interface (not doing a manual query but now i see this is why we should)

    Perhaps the issue is my interface is saving the value with extra spaces.. that would be dumb but explain it.

    Thanks again for all your help and hard work! Not many people support their software products right like you..

    That would be odd that mysql workbench would be adding the extra characters. Generally I use phpMyAdmin to create custom user meta while testing and have not experience that issue. If you have that tool in your web host control panel, give it a try to see if the results are the same.

    It is possible another plugin or the theme is hooking into the user meta calls and introducing those extra characters… that get much more tricky to track down it is the cause.

    The site was using wishlist members i have a feeling that is doing something.. I will find in files and update with my findings at a later date.
