ParticipantHello Again Steve,
Another question about custom fields…Is there something I can do to get the search in the cMAP template to index the content?
To replicate the issue: Navigate to http://staging.digitalclaritygroup.com/digital-partners/ and search on any of the terms beneath Areas of Expertise or Verticals.
Best,
Jake

Do you mean if someone types “Analytics” in the keyword search all entries with it assigned should return as a result?

ParticipantYes, and to expand on this, I added a new group of terms to categories and the new ones are not indexed in the cMAP search tool, although older category terms are.
Is there a way to ‘reindex’ the search?

What do you mean by indexed? I’m sorry but I not exactly following what the issue is.

ParticipantSorry, I might be using that term improperly. Back in my developer days, which were many years ago, it was necessary to build a search index. Occasionally you might have to ‘reindex’ the search database so new content would be included. I suspected this was the issue because I have two different groups of terms in ‘categories’.
One group is called ‘Type’ which I created before I entered any directory records.
The second group is called ‘Technology’ which I created today.
You can test this with the following links:
Type: http://staging.digitalclaritygroup.com/digital-partners/?cn-s=Digital+Agency&cn-cat=
Technology: http://staging.digitalclaritygroup.com/digital-partners/?cn-s=WordPress&cn-cat=
As you can see, the first one provides results, the second one doesn’t. Both have records associated with them.
Best,
Jake

If I understand what I am looking at… the keyword search does not return entities that were assigned a category. It will only search the fields selected on the Connections : Settings admin page under the search tab.
To search by category, you would use that category dropdown. If you want to search for a specific category within the list of category, you use the category search input that is displayed when you open the category drop down.
Are we on the same page?
