Hello, I have two websites running the Hestia Pro Theme and the Connections Biz Directory Plugin. I recently updated the theme on one site, but not the other and I’m not getting this error message within the menu navigation:
Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to int in
I’m not getting this error on the theme running version 1.1.86 (http://work-now.org_, only on the recently updated one running 2.0.19. I’ve currently deactivated the plugin for now. Any thoughts or ideas as to what might be going on? Both sites are currently running WordPress 5.0.2 and the latest PHP settings on the server side.
Absolutely love this plugin:-)
Thanks in advance for your help or consideration.
Looks like a bug in the updated theme. This code in Connections runs when the core WP
the_title filter is run. WordPress passes two attributes, the post/page title and the post/page ID.
Judging from the error the theme is applying the core WP
the_title filter. That is fine, but they must pass the exact same attributes so other plugins which hook into the core WP filter are not broken.
My best guess is that the theme is passing the entire WP_Post object instead of passing just the post/page ID. If my guess is correct, only the theme developers can correct this issue.
A workaround to avoid the error…
Activate Connections and then navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the SEO tab. Disabling the Page Title option should prevent this error from occurring because that bit of code is no longer run.
Hope this helps, let me know.
Thank you so much.
