ParticipantHi Steven,
I have set the search by alphabet on the dictionaries but when I click a letter it shows no results even though there are entries. When I search in the search field it works fine and shows up!
Any idea what the issue could be?
Thanks

Hard to say…
- What are the exact shortcodes you are using?
- Are you using any Code Snippets that you may have found in the forum?
- Are you using any type of page caching plugins?

ParticipantHi Steven,
I am using Wordfence and Cloudflare for the caching. I turned both off and still had the problem. I’m not using any snippets.
Here are the shortcodes I am using
[connections category=52 enable_category_select=false page_limit='20' pagination_position='after' enable_search=true str_work_addr=Address str_work_phone=Phone str_work_email=Email enable_map=true map_frame_height=280 str_note_show='Talking About' str_note_hide='Less Talking About' enable_note_head=false enable_bio_head=false str_bio_show='More Info' str_bio_hide='Less Info' link_format='%title%' map_zoom=14
enable_category_by_root_parent=true enable_website_link=TRUE show_alphaindex='true' order_by='id|RANDOM']Cheers

Ok, I’m think it might be the
order_by='id|RANDOM'option…Yep… just tested it. It is causing an invalid query to be created. I’ll have to push out a bug release release to address it. Look for it in a day or two. It’ll be version 8.2.2. Apologies for the trouble.

ParticipantHi Steven,
OK that’s great that you managed to find the issue, no problem at all, these things happen. You do great work on the Plugin!
Thanks
