ParticipantHello,
Your Connections plugin (as well as the Market theme and extensions pack I just purchased) saved me from lots of work!!! THANK YOU!
Okay, I want to know if there is a way to do two things:
1. Make directory listings sticky…i.e. Featured at the top of their category(s).
2. Make listings “Premium” where for instance Standard listings might not have some features but Premium listings do e.g. maps, profile, html features, et al).
Thank you for this work you’ve done I’m excited to use your solution to my directory problems.
Warmest,
Chris

Sticky entries, this year. Can’t say when, but I would say sooner than later.
I want to add finer control to the user role capabilities to allow the separation of features based on user role. Agin, I’d say this year, but later than sooner due the amount of code re-work that will be required to make sure this works and doesn’t break anything for anyone.
Hope that answers your questions thoroughly.

GuestThank you Steven.
Sticky and Featured will be useful add-ons. I’m willing to pay for the add-on features at your current typical costs for plugins. Perhaps even a little more if it will help dev work.
Meantime I’ve installed two plugins to see if I can leverage them in this area. Perhaps I don’t understand the requirements but maybe one or both of these with Connections can enable some of this:
User Role Editor
http://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/Requires: 3.5 or higher
Compatible up to: 3.8
Last Updated: 2013-12-10

Types
http://wordpress.org/plugins/types/Requires: 3.4 or higher
Compatible up to: 3.8
Last Updated: 2013-12-18
Downloads: 281,456The Types developer has some premium “Toolset” plugins which may extend the capabilities and bring it closer, e.g. Toolset Views and Toolset Cred.

Sorry, no, neither will help you in building that into Connections.

ParticipantI’d be very keen to see featured listings too!

GuestConnections and the Market template are great! I’m putting a vote in for Featured and Sticky Listings too which would make it do everything we need to. Right now I’m taking the easy way and just putting an asterick in the front of the names I need to be Sticky and that keeps them on top.
