Hello, I am interested in using your plugin, but when I went to save my first directory entry, I received this fatal error message:
Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget_Meta’ not found in ..\wp-includes\class-wp-widget-factory.php on line 100
I was not able to navigate to any other page within my admin area, and after closing out the browser I could not get to my admin area at all. Thankfully, it did not crash the site, but I had to have my server admin restart the server to be able to stop and remove the plugin.
Any idea what could be causing this error? We are using a custom theme.
That error message does not seem to be the result of Connections. The “WP_Widget_Meta” class is one off the core WP widgets. It is the widget which add the login/register links to the theme’s sidebar when used.
I would suggest that you verify that this files exists:
If it does not, then that is the issue. I suggest navigating to the Wp Updates admin page and licking the button for reinstalling the current WP version. Your settings and data is safe. WP merely reinstalls its files. This will ensure you are not missing any other core WP files.
Hope this helps, let me know.
