I suspect this might have to do with how you have your site setup but it is very hard to know for sure.
Here is a link for an individual entry:
http://www.findtheircard.com/card/gibraltar/name/1st-impressions/
Here is a link for a category:
http://www.findtheircard.com/card/en/directory-2/cat/building-and-construction/
Notice the difference? After
/card/in the category link there is/en/directory-2/I would expect that the link should be this:
http://www.findtheircard.com/card/gibraltar/cat/building-and-construction/
Which does work correctly.
My first suggestion is to make sure you have the directory homepage set to the correct page. This option can be found on the Connections : Settings admin page under the General tab.

Have you made any changes or added any plugins which would add
en/to your site’s permalinks such as a multi lingual plugin?Something to try. Navigate to the WP Widgets admin page, make a settings change to the Connections : Categories widget and save the change. Change the settings back and save again. Does that correct this issue?
