ParticipantI struggled deciding where to put this question so apologies if it’s in the wrong place.
I purchased Tiles-Plus for a client and they want to restrict the bio and notes to 250 words each. The simplest solution (I thought) would just be to enable wordcount in the tinyMCE editor when adding new connections so the admin (we haven’t installed Forms yet) can manually monitor the wordcount. I know, not using technology at it’s best but they wanted a quick, easy and inexpensive solution but I cannot get it to work to save my life!
As far as I can tell, WP has it’s own wordcount (separate from the tinyMCE wordcount plugin). This is implemented in code contained in the wordpress tinyMCE plugin, which the connections invocation of tinyMCE includes in the plugin list.
But I cannot figure out how to enable this or get it so show up for the bio and notes fields of connections.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sorry, but using the built-in word count script may not be possible because of the possibility of there being two editors on the same page.
This is the script that would need enqueued on the page:
wp_enqueue_script(‘word-count’);
However, the markup div that the script updates is not output by the wp_editor() function. I’m guessing this would have to be added manually. And I’m uncertain it it would work with two editors on the same page.

GuestThanks Steven. Hadn’t thought about the issue of two editors on the same page.
Thanks for all your hard work. Love the plugin!
