In the database wp_connections, there is a field called “Options”
How is the data in that field processed? Is there a function to parse it?
What I am looking for is a way to extract from a family record, the individual record Id field value for each individual associated with the family.
I want to create a small database file which has a record that links the individual to the fmaily record id.
I could then easily process the records in a spreadsheet or database and use a simple query to extract fields to use in form printing, so as a Word document to fill in formatted labels or something like that.
Then we could generate any kind of reporting properly formatted for printing.
RE: Is there a function to parse it?
It is a JSON encoded array. You would use
json_decode() to parse it and then access it as you normally would an array.
RE: How is the data in that field processed?
When the entry object is initiated thru its constructor, it is decoded and then the associated object properties are populated with array values. There are helper functions within the entry object which parse and return the values for you. For example
$entry->getFamilyMembers() returns an index array of associative arrays containing the relations entry ID and relation type.
Hope this helps!
