I edited my slim-plus.css to increase the font size of the text. This was overwritten with the last update. Is there a different way to control the font size besides editing the slim-plus.css?11/16/2018 at 12:06 pm #477198
One correction and one more question.
Correction: It’s the slim-plus.min.css that I had edited.
Question: How does the slim-plus.min.css get updated when edits are made to the slim-plus.css?11/16/2018 at 12:07 pm #477199
You can copy your custom CSS to a folder in the
uploadsfolder. That way Connections will load it instead and it will not be overwritten during updates. Here’s the doc where you can learn more about this feature:
So, in your specific instance you could copy the file to this folder:
Hope this helps!11/16/2018 at 12:21 pm #477201
Did you see my followup regarding the slim-plus.min.css?11/16/2018 at 12:42 pm #477205
I did, after posting my reply …
My instructions still apply. You can edit the
slim-plus.cssfile and put it in the folder as explained in my last reply and it will be loaded by Connections instead of the min file supplied with the template. OR, you can place the minified file in the folder an it will be loaded. Either will work.11/16/2018 at 1:11 pm #477207
Understood. However, I’m still a bit confused with regards to how/when the min file gets updated. I’ve made edits to the slim-plus.css file, but don’t see those changes in the min version. I’ve disabled all third-party plugins that might affect the cache or other min files. Shouldn’t the min file get updated at the same time the slim-plus.css is saved?
Thanks11/16/2018 at 3:43 pm #477232
Both CSS file are only updated when a template update is released. The min files are not automagically created from the non-min files. Changes you make to the non min files will not automagically be made to the min file. You can edit the no-min file and then manually update min file to include the same changes.
But you don’t have to do that for your purposes…
slim-plus.cssfile to the folder I referenced in a previous reply. Make your changes. Connections will from then on load that file for Slim Plus regardless if the CSS files are updated in a template update.11/16/2018 at 3:48 pm #477233
