GuestHello,
I have an issue which is now causing some real problems. after setting up with an initial import by category from csv files I went on to configuring the various plugins as I wanted them. Now when I try to import more clients into the database they do not appear in the directory. I am using the same filetype to import and it is reported as complete with no rows skipped but it vanishes into a black hole. I also added one item manually which appeared in the “Manage” list in the correct category initially then and then disappeared.Help would be much appreciated as I am now trying to monetize my site.
I am using cmap with a number of extensions and everything appears to be working except I cannot increment the database.
Regards

On the Connections : Manage admin page at the top of the page there are links. Click the one that says
All.Right below there are three dropdowns. Make sure all of them are set to all and then click the
Filterbutton.Right below those to the right is the controls for pagination, click the
<<button.Do the entries you’ve added/imported display on the Manage admin page now? If not, can you search for a name that you know that you’ve added/imported? Does it return as a search result.
Let me know what you learn.

GuestHi Stephen,
I have checked as you suggested with no luck. The only thing I have to amend is that entries added manually do remain, my error in checking, they do increment the total content shown under manage but this does not change with csv import. I can send the last file I tried but cannot see how to attach it.Richard M

RE I can send the last file I tried but cannot see how to attach it.
You need to login before you can attach files. Alternatively, you can copy it to a publicly accessible locations and then share the link with me.
Which version of the CSV Import do you have installed and using?

ParticipantHi Stephen,
I am using version 2 of the importer. I attach 2 files the one with the earliest date was successful the next one fails. I cannot remember when I updated the version of the importer so cannot be sure if it was the same version for both files. The webserver is mine and I have access to the database. Checking there the ID numbers agree with the reported ,ist in Manage. I have wordfence security installed is it possible that their server firewall could be intruding.Richard M

ParticipantHi Stephen,
The file upload is reporting file type .xls is not allowed to upload for security reasons.Richard M

That would be correct, please upload the CSV file you are trying to import, not the originating Excel file.

I’m assuming the
Upload210918okmail.csvfile is the one you are trying to import? Correct? There were a couple issues with the file.
The first was is there there were roughly a hundred blank rows. Should not be a major issue but does cause much more processing than necessary.
The second was the file encoding. Please make sure it is UTF8 encoded when you export the CSV file.
Attached is a corrected and test file.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantHi Stephen,
Corrected file worked fine. I will try another upload soon and ensure it is utf8 encoded. Thanks for your awesome support.Regards
