My site is fully up to date (WP, theme and plugins) and I’ve been trying also to update the PHP version but when I do it throws out a PHP warning for the directory:
Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /wp-content/plugins/connections-cmap/cmap.php on line 829
Any ideas for a fix? I’m running cmap 5.3.1.
I’m unable to replicate this on my dev site which has PHP 7.1 on it. What is the exact shortcode you are using to embed the directory on the page?
It is considered a best practice to not display PHP messages on a live site. Here’s a tutorial which explains how to suppress these messages:
I personally log these to a file outside of the public HTML folder so they are not accessible. This allows me to review and track down issues on my live site without publicly displaying them.
Hope this helps!
This is my shortcode for the page:
[connections category="2,17,15" enable_category_by_root_parent='TRUE' str_select="Please Make A Selection" str_select_all="Show All" enable_category_select='TRUE' show_category_count='TRUE' page_limit=25 enable_pagination='TRUE' pagination_position="both" enable_map='FALSE' width="auto" image_fallback="none" str_work_addr="" str_work_email="Email" str_work_phone="Phone" str_work_fax="Fax" background_gradient='FALSE' background_color="#f5f2f1"]
I installed the plugin about 6 years ago and have made very few changes to the directory display. Let me know if you see anything out of place.
Thanks for the info on hiding the php messages.
width="auto" from the shortcode. That is causing the not a number warning.
Hope that helps!
Works! Thanks Steven : )
