GuestHi
I’m interested in purchasing cMap for our company website. However, they grey background is the one thing we’ll need to change.
The element inspector pointed out that each line of text has a separate background (pictured below), is there a way to change this greyscale easily via the CSS files?
Much appreciated.

Yes, you can easily remove the gradients from cMap by removing them in the CSS.
Here’s how:
Open the
cmap.cssfile found here:../wp-content/plugins/cmap/Change this:
#cn-cmap .cn-entry { -webkit-border-radius: 4px; -moz-border-radius: 4px; border-radius: 4px; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 3px 4px 2px rgba(100, 100, 100, .4); -moz-box-shadow: 0px 3px 4px 2px rgba(100, 100, 100, .4); box-shadow: 0px 3px 4px 2px rgba(100, 100, 100, .4); background: #e3e3e3; /* Old browsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #e3e3e3 1%, #f1f1f1 100%); /* FF3.6+ */ background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(1%,#e3e3e3), color-stop(100%,#f1f1f1)); /* Chrome,Safari4+ */ background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #e3e3e3 1%,#f1f1f1 100%); /* Chrome10+,Safari5.1+ */ background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #e3e3e3 1%,#f1f1f1 100%); /* Opera 11.10+ */ background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #e3e3e3 1%,#f1f1f1 100%); /* IE10+ */ background: linear-gradient(top, #e3e3e3 1%,#f1f1f1 100%); /* W3C */ border:1px solid #D3D3D3; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 4px; padding: 12px; position: relative; }To this:
#cn-cmap .cn-entry { -webkit-border-radius: 4px; -moz-border-radius: 4px; border-radius: 4px; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 3px 4px 2px rgba(100, 100, 100, .4); -moz-box-shadow: 0px 3px 4px 2px rgba(100, 100, 100, .4); box-shadow: 0px 3px 4px 2px rgba(100, 100, 100, .4); border:1px solid #D3D3D3; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 4px; padding: 12px; position: relative; }Change this:
#cn-cmap span.cn-image-style { -webkit-border-radius: 4px; -moz-border-radius: 4px; border-radius: 4px; background: #f1f1f1; /* Old browsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #f1f1f1 0%, #e3e3e3 100%); /* FF3.6+ */ background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,#f1f1f1), color-stop(100%,#e3e3e3)); /* Chrome,Safari4+ */ background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #f1f1f1 0%,#e3e3e3 100%); /* Chrome10+,Safari5.1+ */ background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #f1f1f1 0%,#e3e3e3 100%); /* Opera 11.10+ */ background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #f1f1f1 0%,#e3e3e3 100%); /* IE10+ */ background: linear-gradient(top, #f1f1f1 0%,#e3e3e3 100%); /* W3C */ border: 1px solid #E3E3E3; margin: 0; padding: 5px; }To this”
#cn-cmap span.cn-image-style { -webkit-border-radius: 4px; -moz-border-radius: 4px; border-radius: 4px; border: 1px solid #E3E3E3; margin: 0; padding: 5px; }Save the the file and upload overwriting the original.
No, duplicate the file and name itcmap.min.cssand upload it overwriting the original. That will do it. Hope that helps.
