    Hi, Steven! Quick question: At romancetravelspecialists.com/findaspecialist, we can’t get the Excerpt Plus directory to break at 20 entries per page … as you’ll see, the entries all pile up on a single page! Here’s the list of short codes we’re using – can you see what we’re doing wrong? Thanks so much as always for your help!

    First, the template being used on that page is the Default Entry Card template, not Excerpt Plus. Go to the Connections : Templates admin page and Activate the Excerpt Plus template.

    Second, you only need to add the shortcode option if you are changing from its it default. So, much of the many of the shortcode option can be removed to simplify it.

    Steven, thanks! I remember now – we had to switch to the Default Entry Card template because I think we saw in the documentation when we set up this site that the Excerpt Plus template doesn’t work well with the ROT13 plugin to hide members’ email addresses …

    I switched out the shortcodes you sent me above with that muddled list we had, and everything looks great …

    The only challenge is we still can’t figure out how to limit the number of entries on a page … we tried adding page_limit=10, for example, but the directory page is still showing all 116 entries on a single page … thanks for your help!

    I just visited the page again, it is still using the Default Entry Card template. Did you switch back to it?

    I misspoke in my very first message, I’m afraid … we’d been using Excerpt Plus, but when we added your ROT13 plugin to hide our members’ email addresses, it was our understanding that Excerpt Plus doesn’t work with ROT13 (something about the fading effect that Excerpt Plus does with the members’ entries?), so we went back to the Default Entry Card template …

    1. Is it not possible to limit the number of entries on a page if we use the Default Entry Card template?
    2. If the answer to # 1 is “Yes, it’s not possible,” what templates work OK with ROT13?

    Our goal is to do two things: (a) control the # of entries appearing on each directory page (10 entries, 20 entries, etc.), AND (b) use your ROT13 plugin to hide our members’ email addresses. Beyond that, honestly, we don’t care which Connections Pro template we use – Default Entry Card, Excerpt Plus, or something else …

    Thanks again, Steven! Once again, your customer service is just unbelievable!

    Sorry, no, pagination is not supported in this template.

    ROT13 should work with all templates. I just tested again with Excerpt plus and it works fine. There was an issue with the Gridder template but I think that has been resolved.
