GuestHi there
When I try to click on ‘categories’ I get an error message, however, if I click and hold ‘categories’ I am then able to select a category.
Is there any way to fix this?
I can’t find the query.php file to check to see if that’s the problem so if you can point me to where I should be looking to find that, that would be great.
Thanks in advance

What is the exact error message? Where exactly are you trying to select categories? What action are you doing? I need a bit more context.

This file???
../wp-includes/query.phpThat’s a core WordPress file in the
wp-includesfolder. At this point without more details I would say it is not related. But I really need to know more before I can make any suggestions. My but guess is that whatever the issue is, is not a bug with Connections.04/06/2016 at 3:10 pm #371893SJ
GuestApologies
On this page: http://balancedbusybodies.com/directory/ when I go to click on the categories dropdown to select one of the categories I get sent to http://balancedbusybodies.com/directory/undefined and the message that comes up is: ‘The page you are looking for is not found’

Unfortunately you’ll have to ask the theme dev/support for some reason the fancy transitions they apply is attaching itself to the drop down, so clicking the drop down os triggering a page load. My best guess is has something to do the the FastClick library the theme is using… but that is just a guess. I would expect the theme dev to know more.
Hope that helps!
ps. The page would not display at all in Chrome. The uBlock Origin extension was the cause because it blocked the FastClick library from loading. I expect other ad blockers will have the same effect because many of them use the EasyList as a base for what to block. I’m guessing you do not want you site to be blank for everyone that visits using an ad blocker.
Honestly… I would highly recommend disabling the loading transition. Here’s why. The way this works is the page content is simply hidden from view until the page completely loads. After loading is complete, a script will do that fancy transition. If there is a javascript error, your visitors will likely end up seeing nothing more than a blank page even though the page contents does exist. That happens, you’ve lost a visitor. Just my opinion though.

GuestThanks for coming back to me on those points – your suggestion re loading transition makes sense as well.
