ParticipantHi,
I’m using a combination of Connections, Forms, Tiles plus and Link for a password protected site that will be used for a seminar next week where the partisipants can register their own info and get a directory presented via Tiles plus.Im getting stressed because I cannot get Link to work properly.
1. I have checked ‘add’ and ‘edit’ for the users roles to let them add their data using Forms. This works fine – exept that default Publishing seems to be ‘Unlisted’, not ‘Public’ so their input will not appear before I manually change it to ‘Public’.
2. If a user want to edit his content and click “Edit My directory entry” in one of the two avaiable menues (Profile and Howdy), they are brought to an empty form in the backend. This is kind of confusing, as most users then will start publishing a new entry.
3. I have a few Plugins installed, among them Members that lets me controll all cababilities for each role. More or less the same functionallity as Link’s ‘roles’. I found that it was not enough to check ‘add’ and ‘edit’ in Links roles, but I also had to do it in Members role capability to make ‘Add’ work properly.
having said that, I have of course disabled ALL plugins as well – to see if that helped, but the result is the same…:-( The users cannot open and edit their already published data.Since we are sending out usernames and passwords to the site in a couple of days, its kind of urgent for me to get this Link issue fixed, so any suggestions would be great…!
