The user would have to register as a WP User on your site with the same email address used in the entry. After they register and login, they will be able to maintain that entry.

I got the user in the system with theme-my-login, same email. The profile has the option Your Directory Entry but when I click on it, it says “You are not authorized to edit entries”. Should the permissions be set to something other than subscriber?
