Well simply changing template would not cause the error because they both function the same way and do not use cnSEO. That is loaded run long before the templates are.

I suspect you might however be running an old version of Connections. Are you up to date?

The issue happens as you are typing, correct? I do not see how that would be possible unless another plugin or theme were causing the issue. What about the theme? You said not plugins were added. What about plugin or theme updates?

Can you also try with a browser with javascript disabled? A lot of stuff will not work on the add/edit entry admin page without javascript but if it does not happen with javascript enabled, then you know it has to be another plugin or the theme.

Another thought… what about browser plugins? Please try replicated using a private browsing window. Most browsers, the private browsing window does not load with browser plugins enabled.

Please clear your WP Rocket page cache. I suspect the old page is being served from the page cache.

If that is not it, please make sure you have set the entry visibility as “Public”.

Lastly, not exactly sure what you mean by “The listings are ordered (using the ordering fields)“. Whatever you are doing, make sure that it is not excluding the new entry.

You didn’t mention… Did you try the conflict test I had suggested? It really sounds like another plugin interacting with your custom fields for some reason. There is no code, javascript or otherwise, in core Connections which interacts with custom fields (or any of the other fields) as a user is typing content into a field.

Looks like I had some message HTML code for the button. I guess the browsers were able to cope which is why I did not notice it before.

I just sent you a revised copy via email. Install it the same way as before. That should fix it. Let me know.

The only way to accomplish this would be to edit the template PHP files so those fields would only display when the user is logged in. Are you comfortable in editing PHP?
