Ahhh… now that does look better. Honestly, I wish browsers would not try to automatically fix these small HTML errors. Then issues like this could be caught much more easily during development vs. releasing something only to find the issue because under some circumstances the browser did not magically fix the error.
Apologies for the trouble.

re: I want to add a practitioner’s sponsor text box to the user form. How do I do this?
See this tutorial on how to add custom text box fields.
Hope this helps!

Since it has been a few days… I thought I’d check in to see if you were able to resolve this issue so I can close this if you have.

re: I can’t change theme or disable plugins because is a multisite production.
Well, that is unfortunate because it is almost definitely caused by another plugin running the WP shortcodes API in the admin which should not be done because the WordPress shortcode API was not designed to be used in the admin. The cnSEO is only loaded in the frontend which is why you see this error in the admin page. The shortcode needs access to cnSEO. The template in use would not affect when cnSEO is loaded.
I only see two paths forward…
- Temporarily deactivate Connections so you can edit your page.
- Give me a super admin login so I can make small hack to Connections on your site so cnSEO can be loaded in the admin. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.

re: Anything there that might be doing it?
Could you try again? First deactivate and delete the installed version, then install the new one.
The reason, you do not see a difference… the old broken HTML is still being output which would be impossible if the new version were installed, so something went wrong.

There is nothing further for you to do since you have activated your support license key on your site.
Many users never activate their support license on their site so they never receive the in admin updates, so, unless they download updates from their purchase history, the download link needs to be included in the sales confirmation email so they have access to the updated version. Basically I try to make the updates as widely available as possible. Hope that makes sense.

Ok, I logged in and took a quick look. I thought the issue was as you typed
&or'sthe page would freeze?I guess that was wrong.
I was able to type those characters just fine without the page freezing.
I tested in the Wells Fargo entry in the “In Kind Donations“.
What I do see is that
&'sbecame&'safter I saved the change. This is definitely wrong but I did not experience any page freezing.I applied a “hotfix” to correct the text encoding bug with the text area so special characters will now be properly sanitized and escaped … basically
&'swill no longer to into&'s.Does this fix the issue you are experiencing, ie. the freezing?
