Great to hear the update has fixed the issue!

My sincerest apologies for the trouble!

Seems the wp.org issue continues :( I’ve verified that wp.org acknowledged my lastest update and it does show up in the Plugins admin page as 8.6.1 but, the old version is still be installed or, just as bad gives a “Update Failed: Download failed. Not Found” error message.

It seems wp.org is in the middle of a major update. I can only guess this is the cause of the incorrect updated (an old one from Friday) is being pushed as the most current update … it is not, yesterdays is. Even the download link on the Connections wp.org plugins page is downloading an even older version.

I did push out 8.6.1 for the latest update which I believe will fix the issue you all are experiencing but the best I can tell wp.org has not yet acknowledged the new version.

I’m going to be releasing version 8.6.1 within a few minutes. Assuming wp.org gets its act together I suspect the issue will go away

re: We ran the update this morning (3/28/17) and experienced the same issue.

Was there any errors shown, if so, what were they? If there were none displayed, can you please look in the PHP error log to see what error was generated?

Within about an hour I am releasing another update, but, it is unlikely to address whatever the issue was. So I’ll need more to go on.

re: we are running on Linux

Most of the web is run using Linux, even if running IIS the process of logging into the site with FTP to delete the folder would be the same.

Previous version can always be found on this page… awe heck wp.org changed the plugins directory, again … I be darned if I can find the links to the previous versions now. Since you found it … where was it? Funny I have to ask :(
