GuestHi guys, I would like to change some text (eg Biographical Info) using Poedit. Problem is I cant find the en-US language file. Also I noticed all the language files are .mo files, does that mean I can’t use Poedit to change the en-US file once located?
I found this information regarding how to text (https://connections-pro.com/quicktip-easy-text-changing/), but I don’t really want to use another plugin. What’s the best way to do this??
Thanks in advance

Use you use the
connection.potfile to create theen_USPO file and make the changes you wish.See this FAQ on where to save your custom PO file so it is not lost when there are Connections updates. Just be aware as updates are released the custom PO file will get more and more out of date.
Hope this helps!

GuestHi Steven, I’ve created the en-US language file (.mo and .po) and made the necessary changes. I saved them back into the language file where I got your .pot file, it’s not picking up my changes.
I also create 2 new folders (../wp-content/languages/connections/) and saved the files in there as per your link above, still no changes.
My sites language is set to English (United States).
What am I doing wrong?
Regards,
Jason

GuestHi Steven, Disregard my reply above.
I worked it out. I didn’t have the file named correctly. I had left off the word ‘connections’. I just had to add it to the file name.
Thanks for your help :)
