Thank you for a great plugin, I am enjoying it and understanding just how flexible it is.
However my clients would like the ability for a visitor to be able to search the directory from the homepage without having to visit the directory page itself. Would this be possible?
The site is still in development and is on a local host so unable to show you, however this is another of their sites fieldfisher.com and you can see they have this function just below the homepage slider.
If you could let me know if this would be possible and if / what the cost would involve that would be great.
One solution would be the Widget Pack. It includes a search widget which can be placed in the theme’s sidebar or any other location the theme allows widget to be placed.
The another feature is that widgets can be converted to and used as shortcodes. So, if the page content is right below the slider where you can add shortcode codes, then that would work.
