ParticipantSorry but I am a little disappointed that custom fields cannot be added without using the Snippets tool. It would be so much easier to be able to add new custom fields and adjust the labels from the admin panel and a great improvement on your plugin.
I do not understand why you have not implemented this function which is available in most good contact form plugins for WP.
Hope to see this feature soon.

Time and resources… I’ve already developed a pretty good API for custom fields which support everything from simple text inputs to rich text editors, sliders and datepickers. The last bit, which is the toughest, is writing a good user interface (UI).
Not sure I understand the correlation between a contact form plugin and a directory plugin … the two are very different beasts, so to speak. Perhaps you are comparing the Form addon for Connections to a contact form plugin? The Form addon will never be one of those … I purposed designed it to do one thing without requiring a lot of configuration in an attempt to keep it as simple as possible for users. Trust me, some would argue it is already too complex.
For advanced users who do not mind or require custom forms I am in the process of releasing an addon for Gravity Forms for just that purpose. You can checkout a live third party site, here at the bottom of the page, using this new addon. Even still, it will still be required to register a custom field in Connections if you want to populate it with a Gravity Form. I do plan on adding UI for registering fields at some point I am just unable to make any promises as to when as I’m working on other items at the moment such as implementing full support for the WP REST API.
Any ways, I think I’m rambling… Thanks for you feature request, it’s definitely been noted :)

My observation was meant to be a constructive criticism Steven.
If you were to take a look at a contact plugin by the name Fast Secure Contact Form you would see what I mean by easy creation of Custom Fields.
In my simple mind it would seem that the classifieds could use a system like this to transfer the fields into the frontend template, but as I say I have a very simple view of the processes involved and it is probably more complex than I can see.
You have a great plugin here Steven and more to the point GREAT SUPPORT, but at this point it is not going to be suitable for a novice coder with limited time like myself.
I will be back in the future when I have more time as I am always building directory and classified sites for clients and my own purposes

Yes, that is how I was reading it. My sincerest apologies if I seemed to be negative in my response. It truly was not my intention. I was thinking aloud while attempting to understand the statement.
I understand what you mean. Yes, when I add a UI for my custom field API, I will very likely model it after contact form plugins. I was thinking more along the lines of how Advanced Custom Fields handles it since it is really popular with a lot of users already familiar to its workflow.
