ParticipantHi Steve, hopefully this will be the last of my queries about categories display, I am very nearly there… BUT, I still have some issues to resolve about the Categories image grid display that I don’t seem to be able to resolve.
The story so far….
As you suggested, I disabled the Categories display in Settings, and instead
1) in the cMap (default template) page (https://globalethicalmarket.world/cu-directory/) I used the shortcodes:
[connections_categories]
[connections]2) on the Gridder page (https://globalethicalmarket.world/remarket/) I used the shortcode:
[connections template="gridder" category=29 overlay="hover" image_width="150;" image_height="150;" enable_pagination='TRUE' pagination_position="both"]
… giving me just the effect I was looking for: image grid on the Market page but not on the ReMarket.
The problems I am left with are that:
a) the images in the grid (Market page) are now all over the place, with gaps, and I cannot fathom why
- I can see that the Energy tile (lightbulb, second row) does not
display its title at all - clicking on it has the strange effect of moving the tiles in the row
below up or down… - clicking on a Category that has sub-categories does not display them… (in fact, it doesn’t appear to do anything, although the dialogue at the bottom of the screen tells me it’s trying to load something…)
Is any of this normal? If not, any idea what could be causing these glitches?
For example, the Finance Category has several sub-categories and when the grid is enabled through Settings > Display, clicking on this tile should display the sub-categories grid, Banking, Credit Unions, Investments etc… but when using it as a shortcode only reloads the top level image grid.
b) To complement the image grid I am using sidebars with your widgets, but this means that the titles are way too large for the smaller tiles. I don’t suppose there’s a way of reducing the size of the font of the tile labels, is there?
As ever, I am most grateful for your help… hopefully after this I should have both pages more or less sorted out and shouldn’t need to pester you again. :)
Many thanks.

Nope, not normal. Looks like the glossary plugin you’re using is rewriting HTML for the Energy category.

Enable the
Display Childrenoption on the settings admin page.re: To complement the image grid I am using sidebars with your widgets,
The theme is stomping over the widget styles abit. Try adding this to the theme’s custom CSS area:
ul.cn-cat-tree.cnw-style-accordion li.cn-cat-parent a { line-height: inherit !important; }re: but this means that the titles are way too large for the smaller tiles. I don’t suppose there’s a way of reducing the size of the font of the tile labels, is there?
I suggest hiding the count to reduce label length.
Also, you can add this CSS to the theme’s custom CSS area:
ul.cn-category-image-container .cn-category-image-block span.cn-term-name {
font-size: 12px !important;
}Tweak as desired.
Hope this helps!
