ParticipantJust updated to latest version of Connections and noticed it caused my links at bottom of each card for: Show Artist Artwork, Show Artist Biography, and Show Map to jump to top of page. I am running wp 4.7.3
I just added the Plugin Better Font Awesome. I deactivated it to no avail.
Maybe another plugin?
Any ideas? Here is site : Client Test site

I just visited the page, the links seems to work fine. I’m guess you found the solution?
The one thing I did notice, It appears the Google Maps API option was disabled on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab. I highly recommend enabling that option (it’s enabled by default) otherwise the maps in the template are not going to work.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantI unchecked Google Maps API v3 in Connection settings and that brought back the functionality to my Show Artist Artwork, Show Artist Biography links.
However, Show Maps opens, but it still sends me to top of page and Google Maps does not load.I deactivated the plugin, Leaflet Maps Marker, but did not fix issue. It is loading Google Maps, but I never had a conflict between Leaflet Maps Marker and Connections before.
Any help is most appreciated.

Yes, I see that the Google Maps API v3 is disabled. It needs to be enabled or the maps will not work. Please enable it.

re: Google Maps API v3 is enabled.
Thanks! Now, re-enable the “Javascript” option that is right below the Google Maps API v3 option. Does that fix it?

ParticipantThanks for your quick replies!
Unfortunately that seems to not work either.
Please keep in mind I did not have the JavaScripts load option checked prior to my current issues.03/30/2017 at 6:13 pm #418231Steven Zahm

Thanks for making the setting change. I need to see the results in the defaults configuration which is why I’ve asked. In addition, those only work under specific scenarios. In fact most end up breaking a working config by changing them… so I’m very likely going to remove those options completely.
Back on topic…
I noticed you said you have Maps Marker installed. Another user the other day experienced this exact same issue, but with a much older version of cMap. I was unable to replicate the issue on my test site with Maps Marker so I attributed the issue to the old version of cMap and advised that he upgrade it. At this point I have not heard back from him to see if that helped or not.
Now that the settings are back at their default, can you please temporarily deactivate Maps Marker to see if that fixes the issue? Let me know the results, thanks!

ParticipantThanks Steven deactivating Maps Marker did the trick, unfortunately.
So I guess I’ll contact them about the issue. In the mean time do you have any recommendations on a free map plugin that is similar, or in the least plays well with Connections?
Thanks Jack

Oh my… Look what I found in the Maps Marker changelog for version 3.12 released on 3/25/2014:
https://www.mapsmarker.com/docs/changelog/free/
“improved option “Deregister Google Maps API scripts enqueued by third parties” to prevent re-enqueuing of scripts by also deregistering them”
This option when enabled, if I read it correctly, actually deregisters the scripts the template requires to run when enabled.
This option appears to be off by default. I suggest turning it back off since there was no conflict prior to their latest update.
Their setting can be found on their plugin settings page. Search for “Deregister Google Maps API scripts enqueued by third parties”
Hope this helps!
