GuestHello , I was wondering how can i add this shortcode [yasr_visitor_votes] into every connection ?It displays rating stars.
I created a custom field but if i put it there it wont even remain there after saving. Also if i type it in Notes field or Biographical Info its the same ,it wont display anything on the site. Not even the shortcode itself.
Maybe someone can guide me on doing this .
Thank You !03/17/2017 at 10:55 am #416056Steven Zahm

I created a custom field but if i put it there it wont even remain there after saving.I can not tell you why it is not saving. I’d have see your code. But I can tell you that, depending on your code, the shortcode would not work and would only show as text. Unless of course you took that into consideration when writing your code.

I installed the Yasr plugin and it did render in the bio and notes field just fine on my test site. My guess there is another plugin causing a some type of conflict.
What I can tell you after some brief testing, this plugin will not work. Putting this in the bio or notes, a user is voting on the WordPress page, not the Connections entry. Since Connections Entries are always rendered on the same WordPress page the user rating will remain the same across all Connections entries since the rating is applied to the WordPress page.
