ParticipantHello, I’ve been trying to figure this question out and can’t seem to find the answer or grasp it. I am using cMap with about 70 entries in the database. The default listing is set to “individual,” (or at least that is how the list imported) but I’d really like to have it globally set to “organization.”
Is there a shortcode to accomplish this or do I have to manually go through each entry and change it from individual to organization? When I use the shortcode [connections list_type="organization"] it only shows me the two businesses that are currently set to organization — so clearly that’s not making a global change. What am I missing? Or do I have to go through and change each entry to “organization.” Thanks for your input. Candace

Yes, since these imported as individual the only way to change this is to manually edit them to organizations.
It sounds like it would be a lot quicker to delete the existing entries using the bulk delete action and then re-import the entries mapping them so they will be imported as organization.
After taking a quick look at you site and taking a guess at your CSV file contents.
Map the organization in the CSV file to the “Organization” field in Connections.
Map the first name in the CSV file to the “Contact First Name” field in Connections.
Map the last name in the CSV file to the “Contact Last Name” field in Connections.Hope that helps, let me know.

ParticipantThank for the quick rely! Given that additional changes were made to entries after importing, I just went forward and changed the records manually. Rather do a few repetitive clicks than reenter more data. Thanks again for your help — I’m really quite pleased with this plugin — it looks and functions great! And the support is wonderful too! We can mark this resolved.
