    hi, the character index is not working. i tried all themes, but none is working…can somebody help me?

    Can you please share a link to your directory page so I can take a look to see what is not working exactly.

    One common issue is that permalinks are set up with index.php. If you see this in your web address bar of the browser, navigate to the WordPress Permalinks settings admin page and remove index.php from the permalink structure.

    hi steven…

    sorry, it is not possible because this is used on private intranet and not reachable from the internet.

    btw the site 1…2…3.. navigation is also not working

    Since I can not see the site, you will need to provide far more specific details than not working. Thats does not give me any information that I can help with other than the solution that I already provided which you have not said if you tried or not.

    Example details, what are the exact permalinks of the character index / pagination? What error messages do you get, if any. Where do the links take you, if anywhere. Attached screenshots if that helps. Any detail you can supply, no matter how small will help since I can not see the site.

    Additionally, you can reply back with the system info. Navigate to the Connections : Tools admin page and click the System Info tool. Copy the information and post it here as a private reply.

    Hi,

    there are no error messages. when i klick on the pages button or one of the abcde… button the page reloads but dont open the “klicked” page…

    The suggestion I suggested in my previous reply is the solution. You need to remove index.php from your WordPress permalink structure.
