GuestHi,
I have the connections plugin as well as the link plugin. I have a large Connections member list each with there own respective email address. I am creating new users and using email address’s that are already added in a member’s profile within Connections, but after I approve the new user (subscriber admin rights) Connections and Link never ‘link’ to the correct email address. I have to manually add the email address inside the “Your Directory Entry” setting page in order for an email to be established.
Perhaps I am confused as to how the “Link on Login” feature works, but shouldn’t Link search Connections for a matching email and then ‘link’ them together automatically? If so, it’s not working on my end.
Thank you. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everything sounds like it may be setup correctly but the follow statement is a bit confusing because it sounds like the Connections entry is already added with the email address, but, at the same time it sounds like there is no email address added to the Connections entry.
- “I have to manually add the email address inside the “Your Directory Entry” setting page in order for an email to be established./
For the link on login to work, both the email address of the WordPress user logging in and the Connections entry must have email addresses that match.
If you can give more detail on your exact setup and a temp admin login so I can take a look, I am quite certain I can track down the issue and get it resolved quickly.

Thanks for the quick reply. To clear up any confusion, all of my Connections entries have email addresses. I tried registering a new user and used an email address that is already associated with an entry in Connections. The new user that has registered does not link with the Connections entry even though the email addresses match.
I hope that clarifies a bit.
Thanks again.

Are both Connections and Link up to date?
If you can give me a temp admin login so I can take a look, I am quite certain I can track down the issue and get it resolved quickly.

I’ll be login in tomorrow to check this out. Tracking down issues can take quite a bit of time which I’m quickly running out of today. Trying to get a couple updates pushed out which address other small issues.
