I took a look at the site. It seems like you are showing hundreds of entries on a single page. Doing this is not recommended because it is like showing hundred of WordPress pages/posts on a single page. Doing this requires a lot of server resources. My guess is that you are exhausting the server resources allocated to you by your web host.
My first suggestion is to use a template which supports pagination. Any of these template do.
As for the admin server 500 error. If you changed the number of entries per page to a very large number, this error is likely being caused by running out of server resources. Can you remember how many entries per page you had set this to?

ParticipantThanks Steven for the answer
I never noticed any problems in the front with the list. Also we had never problems in tha admin. After deleting one, the problems start. The admin list is the standard a..z list so not many members per letter. It started with only the error using letter M (the deleted record was one with letter M). Later the error is always using the manage option.
Surfing via dashboard to a individual member edit page gives no error.

re: I never noticed any problems in the front with the list.
Trust me, displaying hundreds of entries on a page is not recommended. It took me about 15 minutes to get the directory page to display as I kept getting server errors. It seems fine now, but it does take about 10 seconds for the page to load.
re: Also we had never problems in tha admin. After deleting one, the problems start.
Since the directory page seems to loading fine now, perhaps the admin is too. And the error you were getting was a server error not related to Connections. Can you please check.
re: The admin list is the standard a..z list so not many members per letter.
I understand this, but how many entries per page are being displayed? If you set this to a large number, this can cause server resources to be exhaustred and you will receive server errors when this happens. You can get away with a couple hundred depending on the server but I recommend no more than 50.
re: Surfing via dashboard to a individual member edit page gives no error.
If it is a server resource issue, that would make sense because you are only editing a single entry, not displaying hundreds.

ParticipantThanks Steven,
We never had problems in the admin before deleting the record I mentioned before.
Because of the 500 error, i can’t check how many entries per page it is now. Can I change this number also als a variable in the database directly?

Yes, this would be saved in the usermeta table. The
meta_keyname will beconnections. Themeta_valueshould have alimitvalue. You could edit it but it would be much easier to simply delete the that row. There is nothing critical in it so it can be safely deleted.03/10/2016 at 4:28 am #368501Sandro Takke
ParticipantThanks Steven,
I’m happy we’re coming closer to the problem / solution
Manage works again. Only error using the letter M.
I changed the entry per page on one and find out that one record is giving the error. What’s best now? Deleting the records of this member in the dabase? Which tables I have to check where entry_id is that member?
Other things to check?
Thanks

My first suggestion would be to delete the image for the error entry in the
../wp-content/uploads/connections-images/folder.If that doesn’t work, then delete the entry from the database. You would have delete all the records from all the Connections tables in the database with the matching entry ID.
Let me know how it goes.
