ParticipantGreetings,
I am having problems with the import function and I am sure I am probably not doing it right as I am not very experienced in this.
I have tried the following actions and I have had no luck:
- I had manually added about 5 listings, I exported them as a CSV file, added a couple of entries to the downloaded file and then tried to import it back into the directory – NO LUCK.
- I downloaded the Excel file with the fields already created – I added a couple of new listings and then exported them back into the directory – NO LUCK.
I think I mapped them correctly – I even tried mapping ALL of the possible fields. It says that the import is complete; but nothing shows.
I imported the Example #1 file and that worked fine.
==================
What I want to do is import separate entries into the Directory as I have an Excel spreadsheet of about 150 separate listings that I would like to import them rather than entering them manually.
I have previously created the Categories and Sub-categories.
===================
I would greatly appreciate any help with preferably very basic instructions. Thank you.

ParticipantIt is working now. I did not read carefully that I had to NOT map the ID number and that Sub-categories would not be imported. Sorry about that.

Good to hear you have it figured out! The next update to the CSV Import will add support for importing nested categories. As a workaround for now, you can import you categories first, see this doc page on importing nested categories. The when you import your entries, you only need to add the names to the categories and they will be added to the preexisting category no matter where it is in the nesting.
Hope that helps!
