GuestHello,
I just installed your free plugin on my site. When attempting to activate, I received the following error: Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home1/rebawg/public_html/wfopro.com/wp-includes/query.php on line 28
Now I’m no longer able to access my website. Please help.
(Note: I also sent this message via your contact form because I thought I had to have an account to enter a ticket.)
Thanks in advance for you help!

GuestUpdate: I was able to resolve the issue myself by renaming your plugin in my cPanel.
Not sure what the issue was. I found another post from you re: the same issue attributing the problem to a “cherry framework”…? I’m not sure if my theme is based on that framework (I’m currently using Virtue Premium by Kadence themes).
Anyway…I’m back in. Still would like to try your plugin, but want to make sure it’s compatible with my theme.

The error is very likely originating with the theme incorrectly utilizing the WordPress global $wp_query variable. So it is not really a Connections bug. If you are using a Cherry Framework based theme, I do have a FAQ on how to fix it.
Now, that said…
To get you site running again. First login to your site with FTP.
After you are logged in, navigate to this folder:
../wp-content/plugins/In that folder you will find the
connectionsfolder.Delete that folder and your site will be restored but the source of the problem will still exist. Unfortunately you will not be able to run Connections until it is fixed.
Hope that helps. Please let me know.

Looks like we cross posted…
I downloaded the free version of the Virtue theme by Kadence Themes.
In several instances they are using the
$wp_queryvar incorrectly.In the
page-blog.php,page-portfolio.php,authorbox.php,recentblog-carousel.php,recentportfolio-carousel.php,similarblog-carousel.php,blog-home.php,latest-slider.phpandportfolio-carousel.phpfile they are saving it to a temp var, nulling it out and “restoring” it. This is definitely the wrong way of doing it and will break any plugins that happen to need the$wp_queryvariable. -
