GuestHi, I am currently using the free template Data Entry Card and would like to know the image size that would be best to upload so it doesn’t stretch or have a lot of white space around it. I see where you can input image sizes for small, medium or large. I have set the images to “resize the image to fit the specified dimension” but I am confused how I can control which default setting is used when a photo is uploaded. Please advise. Thanks.

Adjust the medium image settings to the desired size. The defaults listed above the settings is a good start. Then chose either “Crop and resize proportionally to best fit the specified dimensions, maintaining the aspect ratio.“, the default or “Resize proportionally adjusting the size of scaled image so there are no margins added.” crop mode options.
Hope that helps!

GuestOkay, but if I want to tell the user to upload a specific image size would I use the medium image size to ensure it fits properly? I want to avoid people uploading images that don’t fit properly- as it doesn’t look very good.
Thanks.

Larger images will be scaled and cropped to fit the dimension set in the settings. If you worried about the auto crop, then select the “Resize proportionally adjusting the size of scaled image so there are no margins added.” option, then it’ll just scale down to fit the dimensions set. The only thing you need to communicated is that uploading those 100 megapixel images from their brand new camera is not a good idea. An image 1024×1024 will likely always be large enough.
Does that help?
