    Hello, I’m in the process of upgrading BJ.org’s Connections plugin from 0.7.4.1 to 0.7.9.5.

    None of the templates I had created are recognized now.

    I looked for instructions online and tried re-creating my template in the connections_templates folder to match the plugins/connections/templates/profile/ folder that came with the new version of the plugin. But my template is not showing up.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Template are now full-fledged plugins; so not only do custom templates need updated to mimic the core template structure, but they also require the WP plugin header text and moved to the /plugins/ folder.

    Follow this example of the Profile template instead of the version in 0.7.9.5:

    I suggestion creating this file, name it something like connection-profile and drop it into the /plugins/ folder.

    Thanks, Steve. I did what you said but I’m still getting this red error “ERROR: Template connections-tmpl-sidebar not found.”

    I’ve put up the plugin code here so you can see it: http://bjnyc.staging.wpengine.com/steve.txt

    The real version of that file lives here:
    /wp-content/plugins/connections-tmpl-sidebar/connections-tmpl-sidebar.php and I’ve successfully activated it in Plugins.

    What am I missing?

    Looks like the only thing that need to be done was updating the class name in the last line. Attached.
