GuestHi Steven
Just wondering if there is any way that I can link a specific member to another page. For example I may have a page or post talking about a specific member and it would be good for the visitor to be able to click on the name and be taken to the profile rather than having to search the directory.02/21/2014 at 10:41 am #280680Steven Zahm

The only solution I can think of is to disable the name link feature on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab and then add a link to the entry to the page you want to link to. It will not make the name a link, but it will add a link to a page of you choosing.
I hope that helps.

ParticipantI have tried that and in the directory it will link back to the page, but I need it to go from the page to the directory so I was thinking that if I could find the path where the file is stored and knowing the entry ID# I would be able to simply put a link on the name on that page but I cannot find where the info on each member is stored.
Been trying paths like http://blog.mica.org.au/blog/wp-content/connection/entry_id#3050. Would that work? and if so what might the correct path be?02/23/2014 at 11:57 am #280894Diane Dunlop

GuestOk this is what I did:
I found the path to be: http://yoursite.com/members-directory/name/xxxx-xxxx/
(the xxx-xxx being whatever the member’s name is) and then all I did was make my page/post about that member and linked the name to that. Voila … the member’s profile comes straight up. :) -
