ParticipantI am new to wordpress and I’m trying to set-up an online church directory for our new website. Apologies if these questions are basic, but I’m unable to find answers to them in the forums.
I purchased cmap. I added a connections form. I’ve been able to enter a few individuals as “private.” I would like to have the “private” directory accessible for persons who sign-in. When I look at the online directory while logged in, I see the individuals entered as “private.” When I try to access the online directory from another computer that is not logged in, the page says “no results.” What do I need to do to allow people to sign-in to see the directory?

You need to use a WordPress feature. Make the page itself private, see this.
I hope that helps!
btw, you still would want to mark the entries private … otherwise someone could still see them if they know the correct URL to use.

ParticipantI was able to set the page to private, but that doesn’t seem to solve the login issue. The page simply says “no results.” What do I need to do to allow people to sign-in to see the directory?

I’m quite certain it did … logout of the site and then try to access the page. WordPress will not show it and if remember correctly WordPress will even show the page not found message.
As for allowing users to login … I suggest a plugin that allows front end login. There are many freely available plugin for this and many are quite good at performing that function.
Hope that helps.
