GuestHello,
Thank you for making a great plugin.
I want to transfer the connections plugin and specifically the content and categories to another site.
I copied the entire connections plugin directory and installed in on the other site in the plugins directory. I activated the plugin and setup the default page.
The problem is the categories and content did not transfer over to the new site.
I am assuming this information is stored somewhere else in my wordpress directories. I have looked everywhere as to where they maybe located with no luck.
Please can you point me in the right direction as to where to look for these content and category files.
Thank you

The categories and entry data are stored on the WP database, not in files. You’ll have to export the
connectionstables from the source database as an SQL using phpMyAdmin or similar tool and then import the SQL file into the destination database. Since you activated Connections on the destination site already, I recommend drop [delete] theconnectionstables before importing the SQL file. Theconnectionstables can be easily identified in the database because they all ofconnectionsin the name. I highly recommend making backups of your databases before doing this, especially if your not too familiar on how to do this. You might want to consider using a tool like this:
https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-migrate-db-pro/The Pro version allows you to select exactly which tables you want to migrate.
Hope that helps!
