ParticipantHello,
I have Link installed on my site and a user logs in and can edit their directory entry. It then sends it to be moderated. I wanted to know if I there is anyway to notify the admin when someone edits their entry and it needs to be moderated. Also, is there any way to tell Link to leave the entry on the site instead of taking it off until approved again?Any help is appreciated.
Also, forgot to mention I installed Form thinking that would resolve the issue but it still does not send a notification for link does it?
Thanks,
Jessica Unger-

Sorry, no Link does not send email notices when an entry edits an entry which send it back to the queue. The only way to have the entry stay view-able after a user edit is to not require moderation. If that is a workable solution, you can change that on the Connections : Roles admin page. For the user roles, change from Add Entry Moderated to the Add Entry option. And then do the same for the Edit Entry Moderated by changing it to the Edit Entry. Then click the Update button. Now when a user edit an entry it will not require moderation and will still be view-able.
I hope that helps!

GuestHi Steven,
Thanks for your response. I had read in one of the forums that you may have something called Notify coming out. Would that allow for notifications and any idea on when you might be coming out with that? Thanks,

Sorry, no eta. What I have done works well even if the settings page is very long intimidating screen. I still have more work to put into Connections before I release Notify. One item it lack is the ability to include the entry info. I think that is an absolute requirement. I want to be able to have the emails customizable with the ability to use “tags” for entry data so a user can only include the info in the emails that are important for them. Hope that makes sense.
